Golu Bommai Periyavaa Talks - 10/2/10

Two years back, when we went to India, my wife bought quite some golu bommais.....While crossing a shop in Luz corner, she saw a very pretty Sri Mahaperiyavaa bommai in a shop. Although she wanted to buy right away, she had to skip as she was in a rush to go to some place. On her way back to home, she stopped at the same shop and learnt that it was already gone as it was the last piece and someone bought it already. She was disappointed. In this trip in 2010, she made it a point to buy one.  I returned from my vacation few weeks before she came. When she came back, she came with a very good large sized Sri Periyavaa bommai. She came and kept in the puja room for few days. Although, I remember someone saying that golu bommais are not to be treated as vigrahams, I did not want to take it out of the puja room as it gives a very realistic image of Sri Periyavaa.....

Two days back, she was asking my help to setup the golu padis etc to arrange for Navarathiri.... While setting it up, my mind was thinking on keeping Periyavaa bommai as the first one in the golu for this year before keeping others. That night, I got a dream where I was going near that bommai and I see it actually moves the arms and legs and I see Sri Periyavaa actually talking - that too not in some different voice - the very voice that we all are familiar in listening to His lectures etc. Then I am calling my wife to come and witness. We feel blessed on this incident. I woke up. I couldn't wait to tell her first thing in the morning.... From now on this is not a bommai anymore, He is Sri Periyavaa, who is there always for us - always. My humble experience is you think about Him, He comes and talks to you.

Rare Periyavaa Pendant

In my today's dream, I am waiting in the Kanchi Mutt for Periyavaa's darshan. Someone who are standing near me shows a pretty wide silver pendant that has the picture of HH Mahaperiyavaa doing puja to Lord Chandramouleeswarar. The pose in which he is sitting and doing this puja is never captured in any photo/drawing before.... Anyone who had witnessed the real puja can relate this pose. This pendant is not there for real as of today. But the person tells me that this was released long back and I am so interested in getting one such pendant for me....

In another dream two days before, Sri Balaperiyavaa is talking to me about His education prior to Sanyasasrama life. In this dream it appears like He studied engineering/physics as He discussed some high-end calculations etc. His face looks so blissful and He is so engrossed into the topic.

6/19/09 - Discourse on Rudra Trishadi & Dakshinamurthy

On Thursday (6/18), we (vedamclass folks) took an opportunity to do Padhuka Puja by chanting Sri Maha Narayana Upanishad fully, followed by Rudra Trishadhi and Devi Ashtothram. Thanks to Dr Ramamurthy for the holy padhukas and RVP to give us an opportunity to do this.

That night, I got a dream where I am standing in front of our beloved Maha Periyava and I see Him in a fairly older phyiscal form with great smile on the face and devotees all around Him. I am requesting Him to help us understand the greatness of Rudra Trishadhi. I have a voice recorder and He goes on explaining and I record it. Then I request Him to explain Lord Dakshinamurthy tatvam. He goes on explaining with few humorous introduction. Then He gets up and goes out for a short break and all devotees are waiting for His return. During that time, I check my voice recorder to ensure the recording and everything is ok. I woke up and wondered the kindness of Him on all of us. For all of us with lots of papa karmas within us, He still pours the blessings for just thinking about Him. He is no doubt Dakshinamurthy-swaroopam - only difference is that He is not a "mouni" like Bagwan Ramanar.

"Apara Karuna Sindhum Gnanatham Shantha Rupinam ...." can't be better explained than this!

4/21 - Darshan of Periyavaa

In this dream, I see Pudhu Periyavaa sitting in a house, a long house, pretty much with just three rooms all next to each other and saying "Since I've been here for the past few weeks, I will get used to this place quickly". Along with Him, there is someone else also who stays with him and he looks like one of mutt people who travels with Him.

Trimurtis' Darshan

On Guruvar (4/16), I had a dream where I am in Dalmiapuram, place where I was born and studied. All three Periyavaas are staying in our school building opposite to the temple. There is a very large crowd waiting outside to see them. Bala Periyavaa is looking very very young than the pictures we've seen normally.....

On the same dream, I am doing abishekam for a very tall Sivalingam - similar to ones we see in our temples back in India....

Padha Darshan

In this dream, I am about to namaskaram to HH Pudhu Periyavaa and He gives me something - like a flower or something - I keep my hands much lower so that He would drop it on my hands  -to avoid touching. He comes closer to my hand and says "Thottuko" and making my head touch His hand/feet. I see His feet bit unusual.

Both Periyavaas in one dream

1/28/09

I am standing in front of Maha Periyavaa and he is standing and asking me to repeat what He says. He says the following “Naan, Mahesh engiravan,  Maha Periyavaa munnal argyam kodukkiraen”. In the same dream, I am talking to HH Pudhu Periyavaa and requesting a Shiva Lingam from Him. He takes me to the typical Indian Steel bero (sp?) and He opens it and I see lots of vaeshti, thundus, rudraksha maalas – all typical prasadams that are given at the Mutt. He gives me a Shiva Lingam – a very small one made of rudraksha but in the lingam form – tied to a thread, which makes me think that I can wear this as a maala…..

Another Maha Periyavaa Darshan after Guruvar

October 17, 2008
On 16th (Thu), I once again chanted Lord Dakshinamoorthy Trisati in the evening. On that night, I got a dream about me visiting Kanchi Mutt to get Maha Periyavaa darshan. I see some famous figure/sportsman - don't recall - standing in front of me. I am telling him "Our Periyavaa is a "trikalamum therinja maha muni. Never lie to Him and He can find that out just by looking at us". I am telling this to this person in front of Maha Periyava and He is listening to my statements.

Darshan of Both Periyavaas

In this dream, I am visiting the mutt and I see both the periyavaas. I see Maha Periyavaa sitting in an easy chair and Pudhu Periyavaa sitting next to Him on the floor. There is a TV running behind them. HH Maha Periyavaa calls me by name and I go there and stand in front of Him with one of my kids - not clear which one - and I accidentally bite my fingernail and He immediately dips His fingers in the water. I told my son that even though some TV runs, none watches in the mutt. It was a short dream but luck to have them in the dream.

Jaya Jaya Shankara Hare Hare Shankara....

Lord Shiva speaks......

It was a Thursday a month back when I decided to start chanting some Lord Dakshinamurthy related slokas, namavalis. Due to complexity issue, I chose to chant ashtothra satha namavali. That night I had a dream where Lord Shiva is almost like a Vishwaroopa and Lord Ganesha is seen on his right shoulder and Lord Subhramanya is on his right shoulder (I think). Lord Shiva spoke "Ganesha comes from my breath and Subhramanya comes from my third eye".

4/9/08 - Sudden disappearence of HIM

This dream happened during my afternoon nap after a very very tiring business trip. In the dream I am sitting very next to Him and talking to Him. I see Him and answering me. After a while, I hear the response and turn towards the direction where He is sitting and see that He is not there but the responses are loud and clear and I scream "Periyavaa!!!!" and I woke up.

Both Periyavaa in the Puja

Very short dream - where I see HH Pudu Periyavaa doing puja in a very small puja. Earlier Paramacharya was not seen. After a while I see Him sitting and smiling at all of us. It was very short and vivid.

Mahaperiyava blessing on Maharudram Days

9/23/07

On this day, the concluding ceremony was so wonderful – beyond words. We were able to do rudra homam, and lots of abhishekams to Shiva lingam and Mahaperiyava’s padhukas. At the end of the event the Shivacharyar said that he got the glimpse of HH Mahaperiyavaa while doing abhishekams. He also quoted an interesting fact that the whole event started on HH Bala Periyava’s birth star day and ended on HH Pudhu Periyava’s birth star for that month. What more proof one would need to know that this event was witnessed by our Periyavaas???

On this night, I got a dream where I am standing in a train station in some part of India. I am standing on the other platform as the first platform has lots of people. From way behind, I could see some DMK MLA getting down the train with his supporters. I see another set of crowd and I see one head standing taller and I could see forehead all smeared with vibuthi and figured out that it is HH Kripananda Vaariyar and as I start to approach I see MahaPeriyavaa surrounded by His devotees. As the crowd start to disperse, I get a free space to do my namaskarams. When I try to get up from the ground, I see HH Mahaperiyava with His gracious smile on the face extending His hand to help me get up. I woke up from the bed.

9/22/07

Today is the first day of Maharudra Yegnam event in Boston. This was a very grand event organized by KKSF, USA. On this night, I got a dream and the whole dream is about Kanchi Mutt. I am going to the mutt with few people. I talk to HH Pudhu Periyava. At the end of the dream, I am walking around the mutt and I hear a very melodious song and I start to approach the place where the song comes from. I see HH Pudhu Periyava singing some stuthi of HH Paramacharya with His eyes closed and totally devoted. His voice is so sweet and one could listen forever. That room is similar to Mahaperiyava’s brindavan in the mutt; but not that as big as it is the mutt. I see very powerful light radiating from the center and I enter the room and I see MahaPeriyava for real in an older age form. Then next minute the image changes that is similar to one of His younger day’s image. There are about 5-6 people (I also see my mother sitting there) are in completely Samadhi state with the radiation of the light from the Mahasannidhi. I woke up with that and realized that it is time to get ready for the 2nd day event of the yegnam.

Train ride with Mahaperiyava

06/15/2007

In this dream, I am going on a train with HH Paramacharya. He looks old in this dream. I am helping Him wearing a seat-belt kind of thing on the seat. Nobody in the compartment could recognize Him as he is not covering His head with the cloth or carrying the dhandam. The TTE comes checking for tickets and once he sees Paramacharya, he chants “Jaya Jaya Shankara” and does his namaskaram to Him. Train started to move and it stopped at some odd place for some crossing or so. As everyone gets off the train to stretch, Paramacharya hears about a temple nearby. He also wants to get down. I am holding His feet and help Him carefully place on the foot steps of the train as they are steep for aged people. I notice that His legs are very thin below the knee – I think to myself that this must be from all the walking He did when He was young. Finally He gets down and He goes to that temple. I am also going with Him. At one point, we realize that the train has started to move slowly. So I am running real fast to get into the train to pull the chain so that I could go back to Periyava and help Him board. But Once I jump in the train and look back, I notice that an image of Periyavaa running moving much faster than the train to board. I am surprised on how this could be possible at His age.

Once again – for my pea brain, I am unable to interpret the sookshmams from such dreams. Once again, I am simply happy and glad that I saw Him in the dream.

Satya Sai Baba and Mahaperiyavaa

6/4/2007

In this dream, I see Satya Sai Baba walking and coming – lot of crowd. For a minute I am hearing “Jaya Jaya Shankara Hara Hara Shankara” chanting and I see Mahaperiyava coming with His sevakas. I pray. Suddenly my eyes go black and couldn’t see a thing for sometime even though my eyes are open. After a minute or two, I could see things and I see Sri Sai Baba standing there and no Periyava.

Sri Pudhu Periyavaa coming to my house - 5/31/2007

It is on the night of Maha Periyava Jayanthi (5/31). At our house, we had the Vedam class. At the end of the class, we did a Rudrabhisekam to HIS Holy Padhukas followed by ashtothra namavali.

That night I had a dream of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal. Not sure if it is my house or my uncle’s house (Mouli) but HE had graciously agreed to visit us in our house and I am seeing HIM sitting in the chair and I see HIS devotees talking outside of the room. There are lots of disconnected individuals, places in this dream. I do not even recognize whose house HE visited. I am simply glad that I got our Jagadguru coming in my dream on Mahaperiyava Jayanthi.

All Periyavas are the same - 4/23/2007

In this dream, I am browsing some very old newspapers and I see a clipping from English daily with a picture of Maha Periyavaa and Pudhu Periyavaa. Obviously they look very young. The text below the picture reads as if Paramacharya says “Feeding Him (Pudhu Periyavaa) is feeding me”.

Sri Pudhu Periyavaa in my car - 4/14/2007

It was a short dream. I am sitting and traveling in a car – Ambassador kind of one. I am in the back seat, Bhuvana is on to my left and someone else is sitting on her left. Likewise there are one or two people sitting in the front – including the driver. The car stops suddenly. I see HH Shri Periyavaa moving from the front seat to the back seat. He comes and sit next to my on my right. I am asking Bhuvana to move as much as possible so that my body or clothes do not touch Periyavaa. The dream ends there.

My first visit to Kanchi Mutt - 3/3/2007

My second darshan of both Periyavas - 3/3/07

I left in the morning around 7AM with my f-i-l to Kanchipuram in a rental car – my first trip to Kanchi Mutt. I must say that the road from Madras to Kanchipuram is so far the best Indian road I’ve seen – actually this is the Madras-Bangalore highway. This is a 4 lane road with road divider all the way through – reduced risk of typical Indian head-on collisions on the road. However, the scene of people walking slowly on the center of the road pumps your adrenaline when your car approaches at 100 km/hour towards that object. The person who is walking doesn’t seem to be impacted with the traffic. Just on the outer of Madras, Nokia has setup a huge factory for handset manufacture – providing more job opportunities and sadly increasing the property value to craziest levels.

We reached Kanchi Mutt around 8.30 AM. Unlike I thought, the Mutt is so huge. There were only fewer people there. Both the Periyavaas were having their “Oppanai” – day when they shave their head, beard - happens on every Pournami as I was told. First came Shri Bala Periyavaa, who was shining with a thejas on His face and went straight to Maha Periyavaa’s Brindavan. We did our namaskarams to Him. Then He went back to his room. Then we waited for little more time for Shri Periyavaa to give His darshans. Due to His current health conditions, He couldn’t walk much. So the darshan happened right in the room. All devotees did their namaskarams. I introduced myself to Him. When I approached him, He just opened a box of padukas to give it to some other devotee. That was one of my primary things I was planning to request Him. I requested Him for a paduka set for my nithya puja. I was blessed with one of that. Then He was notified that Kamkshi Amman pallaku is approaching mutt. He walked outside to pray. We all walked with Him. He offered His prayers. I was standing very close to Him. I noticed that He is not able to walk without holding on to something. His face was in lots of pains. Having seen Him smiling all the time and so energetic, it was so sad to see Him going through lots of pains. We got back to the mutt along with Him. Then I told Him about a delay in the my travel, baggage arrival and other things that made me miss nithya pooja for 2 days or so and enquired on compensating them. He confirmed that there is no need to worry about missing a puja for a day or two. He insisted that I do it regularly on normal days without failing. He was curious to know if I got all my stones without losing them. There were other devotees waiting to get his Darshan and we gave the way for them and proceeded to Bala Periyavaa’s Chandramouleeswarar Puja.

Shri Bala Periyavaa was sitting up in the dias and there were 10-15 people sitting outside. After finishing “Gho” puja, the milk abishekam started. Shri Periyavaa chanted Rudram and I chanted as much as possible along with Him/others. Once the abishekam was over, then I decided to go to temples.

After finishing all the temples, I decided to go back to mutt to talk to Shri Periyavaa, if possible. In the evening, Shri Periavaa was lot more relaxed than the morning crowd. He was smiling and having conversations with lots of people. I once again approached Him and put across my next thought on my mind – my primary objective of the India trip – to search for a job and support my parents. He enquired if I am considering relocating completely. He asked one of the sevakas to contact Shri Ramesh, Oracle, Bangalore to help me. He promptly sent a SMS right then to Ramesh. I also mentioned about my Kasi trip plans and He asked me to talk to mutt manager for letter to Kasi Mutt. Finally I told him about a dream I got several years to him and he handed over a magazine to me pointing me a Shivalingam, which happened to Kasi Vishwanathar Lingam. After getting His blessings, we left the mutt.

Lord Vishwanatha in an unconventional appearance - 02/03/2007

I got a dream on the early morning that I am going to Shri Kasi Vishwanathar Temple. There I see the Shiva lingam on the wall (rock) little above our normal eyelevel. I think this is very similar to Thiruparankundram, where Lord Murugan’s status is carved out in the rock. Here, the lingam has faces on all three sides (when you look straight to the lingam). Since the lingam is on the wall opposite, the face on the back of the lingam is not seen. I am able to go very near the lingam. I see Lord Shiva in human form (not with snakes around his neck etc). Although the form looks like a normal human being, dark, with big stomach and he is smiling at me. I am not sure if it is a smile or laugh…..

Translation of Gayathri Mantra - 01/18/2007

I read a lot of "Deivaththin Kural" during my train ride to downtown. That night, I see a dream of Paramacharya being invited to an event in some place. It is late in the evening and He travels in my old Toyota car to that place. The organizers of the event ended up picking performers who convert film songs into devotional songs to fill in the time gap. I get upset and yelling at the organizers and asking them why they invited Paramacharya for such an event. Paramacharya nods His head in agreement with me. In the same dream, I see Him giving an explanation for Gayathri Mantra.

Offload your worries to HIM - 01/05/2007

We invited our realtor friend to discuss about possible sale of our house due to an urgent need for me to go back to India to support my parents. It was a lengthy conversation with the realtor, who gave us different options – sell, rent, etc. I was very confused at the end on what approach we should take. That night in my dream, I am getting darshan of Paramcharya and sharing all my confusions to Him. He says few things as I go on describing my plans but they are not audible enough to remember. I am happy that at least I was able to offload all my worries and confusions in His sannidhi.

Lord Nataraja darshan and HIS smile - 01/04/2006

Few days after New Year celebrations....

I got a dream about visiting Chidambaram kovil along with my vedam class friend Sridhar. We are one of the few devotees for the very early morning darshan. In the dream it appears like this is the first time I am visiting. I am seeing the Lord Natarajar with a great majesty and I get an unexplainable feeling – my body gets goose-bumps and I feel so absorbed in HIM and I couldn’t speak out of the bliss and I continue to pray. Lord Natarajar is smiling and HE looks so graceful and kind and I could enjoy each aspect of Natarajar. Then I woke up and it was almost 5AM. Thiruchitrambalam!

Talking Ambal - 11/20/2006 (Mon)

This time I am going to an ambal temple. This is a huge temple. I go to one sannidhanam and there is a panchaloka idol of some goddess and it talks to me. I also realize that I am walking with my shoes on inside the temple. Dreams are vast subject - one could derive almost anything from them.

In His Pallakku - 11/17/2006 (Fri)

Got another dream about Paramacharya. I am visiting some temple. I see Paramacharya’s “pallakku” coming towards the temple. I see him sitting in the pallakku. He looks very old.

I have heard about Him and the "mena" a.k.a "pallakku" He used for lots of His travels across the length and breadth of India. At the end, He stopped using those pallakku and started walking. I was told that the size of the pallakku is really small and HE comfortably stays inside that small pallakku for hours together.

HH Pudhu Periyava and the mutt - 11/15/2006

In this dream I visit Kanchipuram to mutt. I somehow see the mutt on the right end of the road. I get the darshan of Shri Periyavaa. He shows me the whole mutt – I see huge halls (part of veda pada salai) where lots of students are sitting, I see computer center with lots of computers. I am telling Him that the location of this mutt is similar to some ahobila mutt (from the geographical location on the street) in some place (srirangam?!) – he seems to agree. Then I say something – not sure what it is. He seems to be little upset with my statement. Then I did a namaskaram and requesting Him to forgive me for saying such things – not sure what it is.

Fixing my arm - 11/11/2006 (Fri)

Got a dream about Paramacharya. I also see other acharyas in the same dream. In this dream, He bends my left arm inward – beyond its normal movement – I hear a crack. The pain seems to have gone away from the left shoulder. This shoulder caused lots of pain between oct ’05 and mar/apr ’06. Then the pain went away. This dream comes after almost 7 months. Although I am sure that this probably has nothing to do with the pain but this could mean something else that I am not able to interpret.

How many times we have read about real incidents where our beloved Paramacharya cured His devotees from various serious illness. Maybe He cured something that was not even visible for me or may be He is twisting my arms to be sincere in my prayers!!! There could be million reasons for Him to even roll his eyeball towards a devotee.

Upholding Sampradaya and guidance - Mar-Apr 2006

During this time my in-laws stayed with us for almost 8 months and taught lots of bhajans and slokams to my 4 year old 2nd son Saketh. One day, they taught him Gayathri manthram too. I know that Gayathri Mantram should not be taught to kids until their poonal. On that night, Paramacharya came in my dream and said not to teach the kids Sri Rudram and Gayathri Mantram till they are 18 or 19. I interpreted this as not until they wear poonal. We all were pleasantly surprised and thanked Him for timely advice and guiding us in the right direction.

No to Panchaloka Vigrahams - 8/31/2005

I brought back few panchalokha vigrahams from India for my pooja. On this night, Paramacharya came in my dream. I asked him about the vigrahams in the house and said not to go for panchalokha vigrahams as they are expensive. I also see Pudhu Periyavaa in the same dream. Since it was already purchased and brought back to US, it is hard not to use them. I am using it frequently for abhisekams etc. Having read Paramacharya's articles, HE is always in favor of giving importance to the sincerity of our puja and prayers and not to the lavishness around it.

HE reads your mind - 8/21/2005 (Sun)

These were the days that I was reading lots of his miracles/articles etc. I have always felt that I was the most unlucky person as I never seen him in person (except for once when I was 8 or 9).

Probably my first dream about Paramcharya. He is sitting on the floor and smashing each rudraksha (soaked in water) and making a big heap of them. I still dont know what this means. Also he asks me in English - “Do you miss me?”. I was speechless. I woke up. I wished I had answered "YES, can I see you again?". Till now everyday, I am telling myself - "when our prayers are sincere, concentrated, selfless, we can see HIM or at least see HIS kindness via several ways". I haven't given up and we all know that HE is extremely kind to all of us.

Jaya Jaya Shankara! Hara Hara Shankara!!!

My first personal darshan of Kanchi Acharyas in Tirupathi - 08/01/2005

During the month of August I visited India. In that trip I got darshans of both the Periyavaas in Tirupathi during their Chathur Masya Vratham. This was my first time to matam and did not even know the normal procedure of visiting such holy place. When I visited, there were not many people. However, those were there came with proper things such as flowers, fruits etc. We were told by few elderly people on what we need to get when we meet Periyavaas.

We were waiting in the lobby without knowing whom we are waiting for. First came Shri Bala Periyavaa. We all paved the way for Him to walk. He slowed down once He came near us and scanned the crowd with His calm and powerful eyes and they stopped when He saw me & my family. Then we did our namaskarams at His holy feet. He enquired about me – I told Him about me and where I come from and introduced my family to Him. Bala Periyavaa enquired if my son is studying well. Then I enquired about the correct poonal age for Him – whether to go with the popular theory of even and odd years. He told me that no need to follow that theory. I asked if I can do the poonal function in US. Bala Periyavaa recommended any Shiva Shetram for it. Bala Periyavaa also asked me to provide birth details of Rohin to his sevakaas to find a good date for the function. We did our namaskarams to get His blessings and were blessed with vibuthi and kumkumam.

It was time for Periyavaa’s Chandramouleeswarar puja. There were about 40 devotees sitting outside as Periyavaa sat inside and started the abishekam. I chanted Shri Rudram with others and it was a very memorable experience to witness such a great event. Since it was getting late for our train in the evening, we decided to go for darshan of Balaji at “Kheezh Tirupathi”. This small trip took almost an hour and a half. When we got back, Periyavaa was done with all the puja and was sitting in the room to bless devotees. I waited in the line and did my namaskarams to Periyavaa. Then I introduced myself to Periyavaa. Once I told that I come from US, Periyavaa enquired about Shri Guruvayurappan & Yagnaraman. I know them. Then I updated about some of the vedic activities happening in Chicagoland. Later on in that conversation, I asked Shri Periyavaa about the size of the vigrahams I can keep at home for worship. He showed a size with His hand and says that anything bigger than that should not be kept in puja room. I requested one of His sevakas the possibilities of a small lingam or a rudraksha blessed by him. After my request was conveyed to Him, He directed one of them to bring the Vinayakar vigraham from His room. There comes the beautiful shining Ganesha vigraham with Periyavaa’s blessing. Periyavaa confirmed with me if I have a separate puja room as I have devi vigrahams too. Before we left, we did our namaskarams to him and he blessed all of us. He gave a copy of Nityakalyan magazine to Rohin. I felt a complete with our trip.

My first virtual darshan of Acharya (June-August 2004)

This is almost 3 months before the unfortunate arrest incident of our Acharya. Until this time period, I was not a devotee of Kanchi Mutt at all, although I had all the respect for those sages. Until this point, I never got any dream about our acharyas - not even once. I never read any religious articles, never been a regular visitor to temples etc. The only thing I started around this time period is joining a veda class in Chicagoland. It was few months since I got this dream.

On this night, I am dining with our veda teacher along with Pudhu Periyavaa (Pujyashri HH Jayendra Saraswathy Swamigal). I introduce my teacher to Periyavaa. After the food is over, Periyavaa takes me to a Sivan Kovil and he takes me inside the Karpagraha - is this the right word? It is a huge place and the Sivalingam is really huge. I sit on the floor inside but right by the entrance step. Periyavaa sits closer to the Sivalingam and he does puja. At the end, he does karpura deeparathanai. Once it is done, a light stream comes out of Shivalingam and comes to me - like an arch. Once that hits my body, my body gets a feel of 10,000 volts shock, most pleasurable feeling - words can't explain this...... At one point the whole thing stops and I woke up.

Follow-up & interpretation of the dream

I was intially very confused with this dream. Like anyone, I applied my "science mind" to analyze why I got this dream. I read no article about Lord Shiva or Periyavaa or any religious. I was like any other mediocore desi in US - watching SunTV, CNN etc. I couldn't possibly explain why - I felt happy to get some good dreams.

Then I explained this to my friend, Sridhar, who is one of the best Sivanadiyaars I've seen. He intrepeted this as a very great blessing. He shared this with his colleagues and pretty much all said that this is a very good blessing from our Acharya. Then I approached one person in India, who is the editor for 'NityaKalyan' magazine. I knew him via some other discussion forum - not personally though. He doesnt know me either. When I wrote to him, he explained this in one line

"All this means is your only guru in this birth is our Acharya".

That made lot of sense and sounded like the most appropriate. From that day onwards, I had the urge to meet him. In November, when the world was shocked with the arrest episode, like so many other devotees, I was equally shocked and upset. My urge to meet him grew. That is when my planned India trip came on our way.

Dreams about Kanchi Acharyas

Om Shri Ghurubyo Namaha

On behalf of all of us, I would like to do my namaskarams to the holy feet of our Paramacharya. It is his grace and blessings that one knows about him and starts to realize him. Like all of us, I have read million times that you move an inch forward to God and He comes to you ten times faster than that. I used to tell myself, "Sure, not for souls like us". But the truth is that the soul within ourselves is nothing but God. So he hears you first before even we spell it out. Then why not he wouldn't come? Our Paramacharya is the God that lived physically with us for 100 years and still livinig with us and watching and guiding us in all ways. The greatest inspiration for me for the past few years has been nothing but our Acharya. It is His blessings that I started to learn so much about him. He gave me the mind and the tools to explore about his divine kindness to all humans. There are tonnes of articles in the net with several real-life experiences of devotees with our great Acharya. I too have been blessed with few dreams of Him and started documenting in different computers. Only today I decided to put them somewhere I won't lose. Also this would give me an opportunity to expand this blog to add lot more wonderful audio/video links. If anyone has any either direct or indirect experiences or have heard any miracles, please do contact me.
